SEARCHING FOR YOUR DREAM HOME

Buying a home can be exciting and stressful, sometimes both at the same time. Either way, it’s quite the adventure and full of emotion. Here are some things to consider when looking for your 'perfect' home.

Location: You've heard it before. Location. Location. Location. But is location everything? YES! Check the surrounding area of the home. Drive around the 2 mile radius to see what is around your home and be sure you feel comfortable in the area you've chosen. Even if you don’t have children, school districts are important for resale. Is the location close to where you want to be, work, school, shopping, dining, family, friends, there so much to consider when talking about location. Decide what's important for you, the find the location that fits those needs.

Size: Whether you're dreaming of a massive mansion or a cute cottage, it’s good to think about what will be best. Determine bedrooms you need, but don't forget amount extra space you may want for hobbies, storage, or your other needs.

Budget: Everyone should have a budget. No matter what your budget may be, getting pre-approved for a loan is crucial before going out to look at houses. Be sure to factor in the additional costs of homeownership like upkeep, maintenance, and repairs.

Household: When considering your household size, you should take into account the current and the future. Do you plan to upsize or downsize? Will you need space for your  four legged family members? Think about how your household size may grow or shrink during your ownership period.

TESTIMONIALS

“In March, right before the shutdown for the pandemic, my husband and I contacted Novex Home Loans and her team about purchasing our home. After learning about the pandemic, I immediately thought about waiting until the year. They assured me that the processing times may take a little longer but buying our forever home was possible. They were right. We are now in our dream home and we loving it!"
